FRAILERS loaned guitars to the BEATLES film
'BACKBEAT-THE FIFTH BEATLE.' The film featured STUART SUTCLIFFE.
FRAILERS loaned genuine 1950s guitars to documentary 'WHO PUT THE BEAT IN MERSEYBEAT?'
The documentary was filmed in the old JACARANDA CLUB. The wall in the club had lots of drawings done by
STUART SUTCLIFFE from around 1960. Some of the credit for MERSEYBEAT was given to
AMERICAN soldiers/musicians based at BURTONWOOD AIR BASE near Warrington on their nights
out in LIVERPOOL clubs.
FRAILERS supplied the BEATLES STORY in LIVERPOOL with two guitars they were looking for for eight months.
One was a RICKENBACKER JOHN LENNON model which was in stock. The other was a GENUINE 1957 DUO JET
which was imported from DAVE'S GUITAR SHOP in the USA. 25 years ago it cost £900. It is now worth £5000.
